Nere Mundi
A downloadable game for Windows
Nere Mundi is a boss rush bullet hell game made for boss rush jam 2025.
There are currently 3 bosses in the game, each with their own AI.Although the game is far from perfect, this month I managed to make:
Boss fights with multiple phases where bosses have different attacks.
Player: The less health you have, the more damage you deal and the faster you fire. The player has a dash that allows him to temporarily overcome the gravity of celestial bodies and accelerate. If the stamina bar drops to 0, it will take some time before it recovers.Heal, hold right mouse button for a while (requires stamina). You can shoot or heal while dashing. If you fly outside the map you will die.
Gravity. You will be pulled towards celestial bodies, causing all battles to be held in rotation.
Each boss must be attacked in separate parts of his body marked in red, purple - already defeated
What I didn't have time to do:
Unique attacks for bosses that cover the entire map area. Unique visual effects for each projectile. The idea for the second boss didn't work out, it should have been completely replaced, so it's a bit glitchy fight. Bosses have no health bar. Story. Main menu.
Unfortunately, I couldn't write dynamic soundtracks, so I made ambient.
Controls:
Because the player's projectiles are oriented towards the mouse cursor, I decided not to make gamepad controls.
WASD / Arrows - move
left / right mouse button - attack / heal
shift - dash
esc - pause
In pause:
7 / 8 - - / + sounds volume
9 / 0 - - / + music volume
f1 - fullscreen / window
f4 - close game
f5 - if you want to skip the boss fight, it will take you to the next level.
The game does not have a main menu, the battle will begin immediately after launch.
